Defense Technologies’ Geo-Referenced Optimized Camera (GO-C) is a light weight, gyro stabilized payload for Unmanned Vehicle applications or stationary surveillance. The GO-C utilizes the Sony FCB-EX980S Box camera which provides a 26x optical zoom lens with internal image stabilization. GO-C provides geo-referenced imagery and gyro stabilized video independent of vehicle maneuvers and vibrations. The camera comes equipped with an 802.11(b) and 802.11 (g) wireless communications radio.
The GO-C has a tilt axis of +90 to -90 degrees, a pan axis of +180 to -180 degrees and a pointing resolution of .4 degrees. The only power needed for the camera control module is +12 volts DC. For command & control and digital video output, the camera provides an Ethernet interface as well as 802.11 b/g wireless communications. The native software interface supports both STANAG-4586 and JAUS standards.
Applications:
GO-C provides surveillance and reconnaissance on
a variety of different platforms:
- Unmanned Air Vehicles
- Tactical small observation balloons
- Aerostats
- Unmanned or manned Ground Vehicles
- Unmanned or manned Surface Vessels
